Questions about WhatsApp links

What does a WhatsApp link look like?

It starts with wa.me/ followed by your number in international format, for example wa.me/905551112233. If you add a message it is attached at the end as ?text=… in an encoded form. This tool builds it for you.

What happens when a customer taps the link?

WhatsApp opens on their phone, or WhatsApp Web on a computer, with a chat to your number. If you added a message it is already typed in the box; nothing is sent until they tap send.

Does it cost anything?

No. The link is a normal WhatsApp feature, and this generator is free and needs no account. Ozvelo does not store the number or the message you type here.
